It rains here

It's raining out, I've been up since 7am, and I still have one more class before my weekend starts and it's not until 3. So here I am in the computer lab, telling myself I should do some more research for the paper that's due Tuesday...but instead I'm updating.

So usually dinner's late and long, and when we're done eating we sit around trying to talk in Italian and holding side conversations in English. But last night Maria brought out the karaoke machine. Oh yes, we karaoked. Aubrey and Christina (her friend who's in town for a while) had fun with the Moulin Rouge soundtrack, and then Courtney and I turned teeny-bopper again and rocked out to Backstreet Boys. I surprised myself by remembering some of the dance moves I knew way back when, and...I'll stop now, before I embarrass myself even more. But it was the most fun I've had at home since I got here.

Anyway, I think I'm going to force myself to do some work for the next few hours, until my parents wake up and I can call them. Cheers.
